A leading emergency rescue provider in East Africa runs emergency programs, provides roadside rescue, air rescue, and sells short-term travel insurance cover to individuals (including tourists).

CHALLENGE

Client had been in a period of growth, which required funding for new product types, expanding into new markets, and operational support as they grow. The company has a small fundraising team and has been more reactive than proactive. Client was looking for ways to turn their fundraising approach into a more proactive strategy and be guided towards the right funder types and outreach approaches.

APPROACH

Over a period of 4-months, Joanne Sonenshine provided strategic advisory support to company, which included providing feedback on their prospect list, helping with augmented outreach to potential donors, providing feedback on proposal language and outreach materials, and acting as a sounding board to fundraising team.
