My Story

After working on international trade, climate policy and international fundraising efforts in the early 2000s in Washington DC, I realized that what was missing in fundraising were the humans behind the big funder and donor names.

I wondered how to make fundraising and partnership more about relationships, not transactions.

I created Connective Impact in 2014 to bring the people back to funder partnerships, and launched what quickly became a 250-member community organization that provides resources, intelligence and connections for nonprofits, donors and partnership practitioners working in international development.

In October 2024, I exited Connective Impact to focus on supporting funders as they explore innovative funding and investment mechanisms while advancing program goals in environmental, social and global development.
